Pitch:

A 1 to 3 page single-spaced document that includes your screenplay's title, logline, synopsis and a very short description of the story's concept and theme, etc. This is your chance to sell us your idea. Make sure your idea is based in England, low-budget, and has minimal locations. If your idea is not quite suitable for Mem, please explain how it could be adapted.

Script Sample:

The first ten to fifteen pages of your screenplay. Any samples not in standard screenplay format will not be read.

Please send all parts of your submission as one file in Word (.DOC), Final Draft (.FDR) or Adobe Reader (.PDF) file format - no other file formats will be accepted.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

If a submission is successful we will request the completed screenplay. If we like the screenplay it will be optioned and go into development, and the writer will work in close collaboration with our development and production team.

  • Yes, writing partnerships are welcomed. Please indicate this on the application form and ensure that all permissions to submit have been granted by all writers.
  • Who will own the copyright to my script?
  • The copyright of optioned scripts will be appropriately assigned.
  • Until then, all copyrights remain with the author/copyright holder.
  • Will I obtain feedback on my submission?
  • Unfortunately, due to the large number of submissions received,
  • feedback cannot be given for unsuccessful submissions.
